'It's like they never miss a pass': The Swans' Ethan Galbraith continues clash with City.

Ethan Galbraith grins broadly as he remembers the dramatic dying seconds of his team's epic comeback triumph against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup. The game culminated with Galbraith picking up a spectator's eyewear after the pitch-side pile-on.

With the clock ticking into the 97th minute, Galbraith struck the post with a long-range strike from outside the box, and Cameron Burgess immediately slammed home the rebound before charging toward the home end to revel in the moment, with supporters swarming the players.

Extraordinary Turnaround

This capped an incredible turnaround given the Welsh side had been behind 2-0 during the final 45 minutes. During the celebrations, there was some minor mishaps. Galbraith explained, "There was a fan shouting out and we were wondering: 'What's he on about here?' Then we spotted the glasses. It was a bit of banter putting them on. We are on the pitch as athletes but we're people, too, so to have a laugh with the fans is always good."

Manchester City Challenge

The victory booked a upcoming fixture at home against the Premier League champions on Wednesday, opponents Galbraith ran close at the same stage of the FA Cup with the London side in February. Galbraith had an excellent perspective when the underdogs took the lead in stunning style, with a teammate's first-time shot from about way out going in via the crossbar and the Stefan Ortega. It seems unfair that it was recorded as an own goal.

"You would have hoped they would've awarded it to him for taking the effort on from that range," stated Galbraith, who started in midfield before moving to right defensive wing after the team changed tactics. That meant facing off against City's winger, with whom he swapped shirts, and the attacker was among the City players who paid tribute to the way Orient approached the match.

Guardiola's System

"Fitness-wise they are exceptional but even the simple things and simple things, they can just do it over and over again," he explains. "It feels like they never miss a pass and they are adept at dictate and take the sting out of a game. You can think you're holding your own and then without warning they will just fizz a pass between defenders without you even seeing. You have to be focused at all times of the game. It requires a strong mentality and focus just to remain competitive."

Swansea Move

The club pushed to sign Galbraith in January and secured his signature to secure him in the summer in a seven-figure transfer. He established himself as a popular figure across multiple campaigns at Leyton Orient and has swiftly done the same in Wales. At Orient he linked up again with his former manager, who previously gave Galbraith his initial sustained opportunity in senior football on loan at his loan club from Old Trafford. Then came a temporary move at fourth-tier Salford, before he permanently left Old Trafford.

Growth Journey

"I was probably a slightly green going into senior level. I think a lot of players would say development squad matches is very different. Sometimes it appears possession is exchanged without real physicality. There are limited physical contests. Once you start playing first-team football you have to adapt rapidly."

Country Call-ups

He has shown that maturation for both domestically and internationally, excelling for Northern Ireland, who are fighting to qualify for the international competition next summer via the playoffs and for whom he has been selected in the last several matches, including both legs fixtures against a football powerhouse. The ex-coach, Galbraith's previous international manager, gave him the supreme accolade, saying he was Northern Ireland's "creative maestro" given how he manipulates the ball and his knack for a decisive through ball.

Starting Out

This marks quite the ride for the player from the neighborhood in his hometown, just outside Belfast, who was raised observing his parent, his father, also a engine room operator, play for a local club.

Red Devils Debut

Galbraith's single match for Manchester United came in the away trip in 2019, a continental tournament trip to the Kazakh capital, where they competed on an synthetic surface and the venue ceiling was shut owing to conditions of bitter cold. "This represented a lengthy journey and it was freezing," he recalls, grinning. "The preceding week, myself and quite a few of the young lads trained together, so that helped us acclimatise. Just to accompany the senior squad and make an appearance at the end was incredible."

Leaving United

How difficult was it to depart Manchester United, the club he transferred from aged 16? "This turned out quite easy, because I arrived at the moment where I realized I couldn't establish myself at first-team level. I'm extremely thankful for the years at the club but it got to the point where I believed I had to take a different path, drop down the leagues and play men's football. Now I'm slowly climbing the ladder."

Welsh Adaptation

It is the early part of the afternoon at the team's practice facility but Galbraith has a commitment at late afternoon: a driving theory test, another progress toward getting on the road. Prior to relocating to Sketty, the mid-twenties player was a constant rider in Swansea's nicknamed player transport, a minibus driven by team personnel, Pete and Howard, which ferries players to and from practice and games.

"It's myself a teammate, Ronald, Malick Yalcouyé – Melker Widell used to be in it but has got his license. It's pleasant to socialize with the teammates but I'm planning to be the subsequent individual to stop using the bus and behind the wheel. Franco is known for his humor; he's constantly causing mischief."

Fan Interactions

When he represented Orient, Galbraith would mix with fans on London's Central line after starting his journey at Brentwood. "I tried|I attempted|My aim
